Creep
I lived in Naples, Florida, with a girl named Lisa. She was dating the cutest guy, who didn’t seem entirely interested in women. It was really frustrating. I used to play Radiohead’s Creep endlessly, half hoping he would hear it, half just bleeding myself out all over the floor. Sometimes warm tears feel as good as an embrace.

Letting go of expectations
“In being vegetarian, I think I miss the beverages most,” I said last night, staring hopelessly into the fridge.
“Try water,” replied Sam.
Leave it to Sam to turn a simple thirst into an exercise in Zen. It was as simple as water.
It’s not my letting go of Diet Coke or even soy milk that’s the issue; it’s letting go of the expectation that hydration also needs to entertain my taste buds. They’re fine without the stimulation, and I’m fine without the added calories.

Apple’s Jonathan Ive
Critics regard Ive’s work as being among the best in industrial design, and his team’s products have repeatedly won awards such as the Industrial Designers Society of America’s Industrial Design Excellence Award. He’s responsible for the evolution from the bubbly, Bondi Blue iMac to the sleek aluminum design of today, as well as many of our other favorite Apple stuff. Due to his extremely private nature and reluctance to give interviews, little is known about him apart from his work around the world. Born in 1967, he’s proof that even geeks over 40 can be hot.
